Kekkei Genkai: This clan has the curse of lycanthropy. Meaning they are cursed with being able to transform into werewolves. Now this sounds cool at first but if you were in their shoes you would be feeling much different. There are several stages of this curse; each increasing in level with the users experience (ex: Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Kage/S level). With each increase comes more power but also more danger. Not to him or herself but rather to the people around them. All of the Garou clan has the fallowing conditions to their curse: Limited regeneration, heighten senses, week against silver, changes under the full moon, extended longevity(not Immortal:) about 1,000 yrs , increased strength and speed, and a need for meat and blood (if they do not eat as noted they will first become animalistic and change without any say so, and eventually die if they do not have meat within 48hrs).

Background Information

Pre-Academy Arc:
Damion is the son of the first Garou clan member. When Damion was born over 3,000 years ago, his father Gabriel, had already went through his change and discovered their curse. This was long before the Sage of the 6 paths ever came into existence. Damion and his family were once very wealthy due to his father being a war lord, but after his father's "indecent" they were hunted like animals. After several moves, Damion and his family finally settled down in a different country that has been long gone for centuries.
Academy Arc:
After the Sage of 6 paths mad his appearance, Damion decided to pursue the path of the ninja and follow the ways of the ninja. He also learned how to control his change and use the monster inside of him to his benefit. Damion was already over 1,000 years old by this time and was quick to pick up how chakra worked and how to utilize it.
Gennin Arc:
As a genin, the villages were first being formed by the first Kage's. Damion was already living in the land where Konoha is today. He was a part of the original genin of the village, and quickly moved up the ranks. His veteran status with the first great shinobi war led to his quick recognition and promotion by the Senju clan and the Uchiha clans that had recently built the village.
Chuunin Arc:
As a Chuunin, he led many skirmishes between the neighboring villages. He was easily recognized for not only his leadership skills, but his knack for sealing, and forbidden jutsu. Even though he faced many situations, that a normal chuunin would have died, he some how lived (due to his kkg). This earned him the title of "Immortal" among the superiors of the village.
Jounin Arc:
His Jounin position was not held for very long. Seeing as he was noticed as being too hard to kill, the elders of the village were getting worried that he would become too strong for them to control. Actively putting him on S ranked missions; they made many attempts on his life. Fed up with their deceit, he decided to leave the hidden leaf village and come back when he had been long forgotten.
Kage Arc:
After many centuries, Damion came back to Konoha. He had kept tabs on them to ensure that they would be safe. He knew that they would need him again one day. And so the day came, that they were without a Kage, and no body was fit to take over. Damion stepped in and explained to the elders of his past and who he was. At first they didn't believe him, but after digging though the archives, they found his story to be true. Realizing the mistakes of their ancestors, they made him Hokage.
